Hmmm, I looked at the official FIFA website and could not find a country listed with the name Paises Bajos. (which I also wonder.... why is that FIFA website in English language when there are so many other languages in the world, as you pointed out)?. But on the website I did see that the Final match is between two countries named NETHERLANDS and SPAIN. It is right there, on the front page of the website. I still favour (sp?) the team with the best haircuts, and least offensive unruly beard growth. Can’t FIFA get a shaving razor company as a sponsor? As I looked through the players photos from various teams (yes, I even looked at teams that don’t wear orange color uniforms), it made me hope FIFA can investigate why playing soccer appears to make many go bald prematurely.

Also, looking at the FIFA website I could not find a team named "I'm not interested".

I was just using wiki to look up the official emblems for various soccer teams. OMG, hurry and wiki search "SPAIN national football team" and look at the photo for their emblem!!!

The Spanish national colours are by the way red and yellow, the same as the national flag.

Neither, it’s Paises Bajos. But then different counties do tend to give other counties different names don’t they? English not being the only language in the world.

quite surprising, at least i feel, that only 10% has chosen spain. even the oracle octopus chose spain :-)

I saw that FAMILY MART in Japan had no faith that the Japan team would make the semi-finals or finals. FM had banners over all the doors and inside displays for SAMURAI BLUE! But those are all gone, replaced by some new promotion. the new banners started on July 6. World Cup final is not until July 11. Those blue samurai are all but a quickly fading memory now.

So I really like that ORANGE color of NETHERLANDS. However, Spain has a soccer uniform that is more of a red-orange.

It would be great if both teams wore nearly the same color uniforms for the final match. THose referees would be going nuts.

I bet they kick the ball around for 2 hours with nobody scoring, then there'll be a penalty shootout and the score will suddenly be 4-3.

Is it HOLLAND or NETHERLANDS that is playing against SPAIN? Japanese call it オランダ, but that just sounds like the city in Florida that has Disney World in it. I guess since Japan called the Beijing Olympics in 2008 the PEKING Olympics, they can call Netherlands whatever they want to.

I cheer on the team with the least number of long-haired players on it. Spain has a few that look like they need shampoo and a hair stylist. They try to keep the sweaty, greasy hair out of their face by wearing those silly head/hair bands.

Netherlands players have nice hair cuts. They should win.

I'm rooting for Holland but it ain't gonna be easy for them.
