Why not? They have been put off for decades. If Kishida's allegedly crucial policies will be decisive in solving the issues then we can maybe understand and forgive but who is holding their breath?

This problem of the declining birth rate should have been addressed ages ago, but the LDP politicians were too dumb to admit and instead just kicked the can down the road as they kissed ass with the senior citizens for their votes by giving them all of the nice government goodies.
