quote of the day
It’s an opportunity for these younger members to come out and actually do stuff, instead of the elder members running everything. There are two candidates in their 40s who will be running this cycle.

Don't kid yourself. The elder (older) memebers will still run everything. I think "pupped masters" is the term.

The problem isn’t making the “young” members the face of the LDP or Opposition. The problem is their cabinet is going to be the usual suspects of Aso, Saike and so on. They choose a face they can control by throwing support behind them to play ball.
Young candidates sure, but it won’t be new or young ideas. We’re gonna hear them give the usual talking points of “we should empower women and workers salaries” then say “mmm chhoooto musukashi” when basic stuff like dual sur names comes up while Taro Aso nods approvingly behind them

Okay, let's go with 88 year olds. Any new ideas or energy there? No.
Give the people at a viably young age a shot. They may just not be so fixed in their ideas. Which group would be the best to go with? I'll take the young ones.

Another oldie will win! I bet!
