quote of the day

Not only is the habit of mask-wearing well established, the amount of pollen is so high this year that the practice is unlikely to stop for some time.

Antihistamines work wonders!

Great for Unicharm then. But it's time to thin out the useless, ugly cypress monocultures. In pollen season when the wind blows it's like smoke all around them.

The pollen is so high this year as it was ten or a 100 years ago.

It's easy to be critical if you're not heavily effected by pollen. In my case I was fine for years living here but symptoms crept up on me year on year. The best way to get through this season now is with a tablet in the morning and a mask when outdoors. It's real. Hahaha, and these measures work.

The government could give incentives to forgo planting sugi? Or, even to encourage biodiversity.

I’ve never had hayfever. I guess it is important to train your body to avoid this problem.

I get the hay fever part but even without it, the mask here seems to be a part of a Japanese person's body. I'm almost always the only maskless person in the train car, unless there's another non-Japanese on board.

oh then this announcement must be 100% real, since it’s

based on………..not science, but a pathetic attempt at a marketing promotion?

what a ko inki dink!

just as many schools and business are going to slowly stop wearing masks.

how about that?

I haven't worn a mask for ages, but yesterday put one on due the horrific pollen count. It was hard to breathe through the mask, but it did alleviate the symptoms a fair bit.

And least they do work for hay fever, not like the other thing.
