quote of the day

Right now, the support and consultation system for pregnant women only says to them, 'You need to talk to your parents.' That doesn’t help women who desperately want anonymity.

Nine women have utilized a "confidential birth" system started a year ago by Jikei Hospital in Kumamoto, which requires them to only disclose their identity to one hospital staff member.

That sound like many of quality of free consultation that being provided in Japan, looks nice on advertisement but not for quality consultation. Just to show support is being provided nothing more.

'You need to talk to your parents.'

Funny thing is that many of these "parents" also seem to be either anonymous or never home since they don't notice their own child is pregnant.

How about common sense, human behavior and normal standard procedures like they’ve been for millions of years? Anonymity, confidential birth systems, talking or discussion with parents or excuses to employers or anyone, that’s all bs. Everyone involved or of the bystanders was a baby and toddler too, after being born. So young families or single mothers have to fear just nothing and everyone else has simply a duty to support them, from own family to governments, from shop owners to random people, if any acute help is needed or such one needs something to eat, drink, a ride or phone call to next hospital or police etc. I really wonder what all those strange discussions and selfish or unsocial behaviors are about. Are you really ok, everyone? Isn’t that common sense to support pregnant women, especially when considering that also you’ve been helped and supported all the way up until you became the adult you are now?
