quote of the day

Three people were supposed to come in for interviews, but they all pulled out. And only one of them notified me. Young people's thinking is off the rails.

The owner of a restaurant in Nara, describing his frustration at searching for a new employee. Try foreign workers, they are more welcome to any opportunity given to them.

Well, they obviously found a better offer, so whose to blame? Calling to cancel an interview or decline a job offer sometimes results in verbal abuse by the business owner. If there's some kind of online system for cancellation it would fix this.

Hard to justify all the hassle and customer harassment for peanuts.

Who wants to bet this restaurant owner was offering 220,000 yen per month with no prospect of salary increase and insane working/overtime hours?

Where's the world's smallest violin?

Don't say that and don't be harsh. GenZ is the best so far, not because they really are the best, in absolute contrary of course, but because they are the only and small one we have left. I guess with big sincerity that there's no other young generation in sight anywhere. lol

I think GenZ is smart. My generation bought the idea of the dream and slaved for nothing. They are going to disrupt the system.

That's a good thing, isn't it?
