Another scheme in securing cheap labor.

Another scheme in securing labor paying the same rates available to Japanese who choose to not do the job.

Fixed it.

It really depend on the scheme the go to Japan, it can be "intern program", specialized skill worker 1 or 2.

Someone with no experience usually will placed into intern program which only 85 thousands yen/month, even that will be cut for various reason, which far below minimum wage. Those worker still doing exact same job as locals.

It may look low to many other nationalities, but that's a pretty attractive deal for Vietnamese people, considering theyd mostly have board and all food included in the salary package. Plus, the sought after lifestyle of Japan that millions of SE Asians seek.

For comparison, the average monthly salary in Vietnam is 46,000 Yen/Month - without the accomodation and food. Source: Average salary in Vietnam - Timeular.com/average-salary/vietnam/

'@sakurasuki In the links you posted it says that you will be paid 85 000 yen for the first month only! The first month is for lectures and training! After that your salary will be based on the local minimum wage! Better to read carefully before posting!

It's a win-win situation for Japan,if they deign to treat these hard-working and highly qualified people with kindness and respect.

Imagine delicious Vietnamese food available nationwide, the best combination of Asian and French cuisine I have experienced.

Just use common sense, if they can't be cheaper than local minimum wage why Japan would bother to let them to arrive in Japan, which happen from 1993.

@sakurasuki The first article you posted is over 6 years old!

Yes, they arrive with debt because they pay a fee to a Vietnamese broker! You make it sound like human trafficking, but nobody is forcing these people to come here!

The law has changed which means they can change employment if they are not being treated fairly or earning enough. Every day ads are showing up on my Facebook page looking for staff to work in my area and the hourly wages are all 1350yen /hour and up which is much higher than minimum wage!

I've known several Vietnamese in my time in Japan. None of them envy the Japanese lifestyle. All aimed to save as much money as possible and return to Vietnam to buy property, etc., and enjoy the lifestyle there.
