Considering galactic contrast between a 7-11 in Japan versus a 7-11 in the States, Isaka better stick to the Japanese tried-and-true version of the store if they want to expand successfully as planned.
Speed
7/11 will be a godsend to some of these places. Like said above, Japanese 7/11 and not the US one.
Redemption
In the States now, you can get a better version of the traditional convenience store at large gas stations that have morphed into gas stations and convenience stores. Wawa for example has good and fresh sandwiches and salads. I feel like the lunch selections at Japanese convenience stores is falling behind, with few healthy options.
