There’s been a decrease in manliness. Are women really ok with their guys using make up?

There's been a decrease in manliness

James Bond now looks like Rambo. Up to a million Britons are thought to be anabolic steroids. Working out for health and fitness is great, but steroids aren't for health and fitness. They are for hooge gains, driven by narcissism and fear of being thought unmanly. What's happening, with makeup too, is that men are being forced into the same commerce-driven paranoia about their appearance that already haunts women. Like women, some of them are embracing the new ideals and criticizing other men for not attaining them.

Also, men in their 30s and 40s already accustomed to skin care are interested in taking the next step, while at the same time there are many more female managers in the workplace.

What does that second part mean? That working with women pressurizes men into caring more about their appearance?

It means exactly that. Look at the difference in guys from an all male workplace and co-gender workplace.

In a country where appearance is everything and substance counts for nearly nothing, this is a good move.
