Osaka Mayor Ichiro Matsui, commenting after expenses for the Osaka Pavilion facility, which will be exhibited by the Osaka Prefectural Government, Osaka Municipal Government, and others at the 2025 World Exposition, were predicted to balloon to around 10 billion yen, some 2.5 billion yen more than the initial estimate.

A city whose economy has been in the dumps wants to host a very expensive event. When will the government stop wasting our money?

Build it from recycled materials.

To reduce costs:

Pay yourselves less.

Bung the Yaks less.

Get the Government to pay for it in the interests of national security. You don't want to be reliant on foreign expos.

Use a lottery to bankroll it.

Build it in the metaverse instead.

Or just switch to Trussconomics - Borrow 40 billion, spend 10 billion on the event and give the other 30 billion to wealthy Osakans.
