I suspect that many wouldn't answer the question honestly because it would hit them in the pocket. Others because it will go against the general feeling.
More still because they will have nothing left to complain about if it gets resolved.

Referendums can be good or bad. Depends on the question's wording and how much true information is provided for both the pro and con opinions. No fear-mongering, just facts. I think Okinawans would welcome the opportunity.
