I bet an increasing number of older workers hope to work away from urban areas, too, but can't because all the major corporations are headquartered there and are in no hurry to relocate to a more livable space; just as the government, for about 25 years, has been talking about 'decentralization' but have done absolutely nothing.

Living in the countryside or medium sized cities is waaaaaaaay better than living in the concrete jungles. Didn't need the coronavirus to show me that. Hope the young flee back to the sticks where it's healthy and economically revitalize these beautiful areas.

Medium sized cities are okay. The countryside is hellish.

Hahaha... "hope". Doesn't fit in corporate culture here, lads and ladies, sorry. They can hope all they want -- they'll still at best have to fax into Corporate to say they are then going in to hanko.

Smaller cities are always more relaxing. You get the best of both world. Well, usually.
Big cities are intersting for a few years but eventually it becomes too hectic and troublesome.
