Artificial rain can be produced during the rainy season and stored in dams if scarce rainfall is forecast for summertime.

So the rain we'll get is dilute carbonic acid?

Is this OK?

Do you have a reason to believe carbonic acid is dangerous?

Won't this lead to increased ocean acidification if it's done too much?

Why do we need to produce artificial rain in gthe rainy season? surely it rains enough? What is needed is better collection and storage of the rains that do fall and less wasteful use of water...... As much as I love washlets........

Artificial rain? What's it made of: petroleum distillates? The rain isn't artificial; it's real rain - inducing the precipitate is accomplished artificially.

That's really cool, I've always wondered when we'll get around to having full weather engineering.

This is hardly a big deal since cloud seeding has been around since the 1950s.

In this case, it seems we have to rely on an at-best pretty dodgy long-term rainfall prediction rate to justify these measures.

As nifty as this sounds, it'd probably be a lot cheaper just to buy a bunch of water from neighboring countries who have an excess amount.

Or maybe build some desalinization plants.

But them government scientists sure love them boondoggles.
