Hosei University Prof. Hiroyuki Fujishiro, an expert on social media. Several embassies and consulates in Japan have aroused controversy by posting messages espousing one-sided views and using extreme language — and even remarks aimed at Japan — in Japanese on Twitter. China and Russia have been especially active on this platform to trumpet their own governments’ views and apparently attempt to sway public opinion on a range of issues.

quote of the day
Foreign diplomatic missions have, in recent years, become more skillful in their use of Japanese, and they often smoothly explain their own nation’s policies and culture. But in some instances, they aim to cause a stir or attract attention to a certain point they want to get across. Twitter users need to take a step back before they accept all the content these missions post.

It the react first and definitely did not read, culture of SnS it’s extremely easy to accidentally poke the bear so to speak. At worst people tend to read with preconceived notions on topics and have their own context to satisfy no matter how something is actually written.
it’s a no win situation online with many opinions being able to be posted but not validated.
other governments being able to post in languages effectively is just the start. Particularly spongy communities are the ones they are gunning for who believe any ol thing that can be “proven” by even slight assumed similarities. It’s always weird seeing people tow the line for clear bias, even weirder when it’s from another country clearly being manipulative

Which is presumably why the commenter isn't criticizing the diplomatic missions. Rather he is merely telling people that this is what the diplomatic missions are in fact doing and they should therefore be aware of this when reading their posts. Seems perfectly reasonable to me.
