Trump already knows the extent of the damage done by the A bombs as well as by the even worse firebombings in Tokyo and other cities. But it would be good if he can visit Hiroshima or Nagasaki, the only two cities ever hit with A bombs.

.

Takuo Takigawa sentiment is well intentioned.

However I doubt whether a visit to Hiroshima Peace Museum with touch Trump's heart.

This is why ALL nations need a nuclear defence system - to stop US aggression and dictatorship. Given the opportunity, the US would disarm all nations so that it can continue its path of dictatorship without resistance.

Everyone through the world knows what happened in Hiroshima. Far fewer people know the details of Japan's atrocities in the Pacific War, as they were were assiduously covered up, in stark contrast to Hiroshima. Trump and many others would find it much more educational to visit those lesser-known sites.

Semperfi,

Used to respect your comments until today.

The local people have received an education that only touches on the barbaric behaviour that they inflicted on their neighbours.

Most Japanese people have no idea what cruel and unjust governance they put upon their neighbours.

literally no.

It doesn't matter what your stance is on the a-bombs or WWII in general, nothing good would come of putting that idiot near a microphone at peace memorial park.

trump is known as THE COWARD COMMANDER or THE COWARD DICTATOR.

If trump don't feel the love, he wont go.

Nobody needs to visit an atomic bombed city to know the damage done, just as nobody needs to visit a concentration camp to also know the damage from that. Maybe the survivors can actually accept one day that the US did not bomb your country 2x with atomic bombs in order to find out if they worked, but rather as a means to justify an end. Plain and simple. I know it will be a first for any of them to contemplate it, but how about admitting that Japan was the cause of it happening.

And Japanese never blame their Imperial Army or their Emperor for not stopping the war. For starting the war for that matter. They were losing and were warned to surrender but chose not to. Hence the bombings. They brought it upon themselves. But they always blame the US only.

An Indonesian friend of mine went to the said memorial. He was dismayed that it was so one sided, that they only paint themselves (Japanese) as the victim and forget that they were the aggressor.

So what was justified reason for limited number of countries to be able to own nukes?

I would like him (U.S. President Trump) to come to Hiroshima and see the reality of a rebuilt city and a display of the human spirit from the ashes of the atomic bomb.
