Maybe some of the bungs, er, subsidies, to the LDPs cronies could be given to dairy farmers.

Govt should just step out and let the private sector take over. Some level of subsidies etc may still be appropriate but certainly not production quotas or government buying etc.

Leave it to market forces. Fewer inefficient small producers needing subsidies to survive and cheaper, more plentiful dairy produce.

If they can't do it, fine, but don't make supply suffer as a result of domestic inability. Drop the 500% or more tariffs on foreign butter.

Recently I have been able to buy very nice New Zealand butter in my local supermarket, Cheaper than the local stuff. Don't know how they do that if there are 500% tariffs.
