Hiroshi Miyahashi, a teacher at Keio Shiki Senior High School in Shiki, Saitama Prefecture, which offers classes in the study of 24 languages including English, Arabic, Finnish and Mongolian. University lecturers serve as teachers. All classes have students.

This would be great if it were true. These languages would be taught the same way as every other subject with rote memorising just to pass a test. Where are the various ways of thinking?

Very well said, what I understand is that, learning a certain language means learning a particular way of life which is to deepen yourself in others traditions and customs and and knowing their culture through language which include their proverbs and sayings you will understand their way of thinking, hence you will think differently.
