Japan’s construction industry still rejects the idea of women actually working on the ground. There are still plenty of men who don’t want to take orders from women.

Can't say I've seen even a single female working in construction sites in my neck of the woods, in my over 20 years of me working in my manufacturing industry. Multiple companies I have worked for have hired construction crew to install new buildings on the job site, but no female electricians, etc.
