Let me guess, they'll give up 10% of their salaries for 3 months?

A month! They monthly get paid what many workers get after 6 months of working. And now they want to take more money from workers while being completely clueless as to why the public aren't spending money. How about they try for a month living on ¥200,000 yen.

Congressman may give up. And even if the goal changes to a government official, they will never give up. Even if it decreases, it will be secretly replenished by other allowance.

Yes, but make the "sacrifices" permanent. Instead of a 10% cut for what will likely be one month, make it 50% for life. They certainly Don't need to be making that much for just screwing up everyone else's lives.
