quote of the day
Looking at the situation of infections at the moment, I do not think there is a need to uniformly restrict movements across prefectures throughout Japan.

Suga as a well respected Medical expert highly regarded for his knowledge on pandemics has every right to dribble his opinions. He is not just paid to be lying to the public...oh wait a minute.

People need to take responsibility for themselves and their families/people under their care, and stop expecting the government to do all their thinking for them. If people are concerned about getting infected or passing infection on to others, take precautions like not going out, wear masks or other protective gear.
But don't demand that the country be locked down to prevent the spread of a virus that isn't affecting the vast majority of the population in terms of symptoms. I don't care much for Suga, but he's not wrong here.

No, the situation does not justify any special measures for Covid-19, not the masks, not the social distancing, let alone the media fear mongering JT is taking an active role into.

This is the same attitude Suga had he and Katsunobu were saying that the people on the Diamond Princess (the Japanese, I mean) could be let off and allowed to go home freely and maybe quarantine themselves if they choose.... then they had to admit they had forgotten to test people.
