Masks are expensive so I thought it's a waste to pay for them.

I wonder how much he spends on cigarettes every week.

I'm amazed he could find a box of 40 masks in a shop, regardless of the price. I haven't seen a box of masks since early March.

Most boxes are 50 units. You can win them at Pachinko parlors if you have enough balls.

But better off getting the cash in exchange.

Poor dude was desperate. Perhaps his two Abe masks did not arrive yet.

Expensive things are a waste of time to buy? Loser. He was planning on selling them more like. Lock him up for a few years to think about the meaning of waste of time.

There are many videos online showing how to make your own masks without the need to sew.

How were there ever 40 masks in a supermarket available to be stolen in the first place? I've been using the same damn one for 3 weeks now since I haven't been able to find them for sale anywhere.

No information about this guy's salary or living conditions. Some people are forced to choose between meals, diapers for the kids, or masks, and I could understand not wanting to pay for the masks in that case. Not to excuse the shoplifting at all. Just a suggestion of empathy.

He's got a point.

Mine cost only $1 usd.

The other day I saw packets of 5-7 for 700 yen. Since I've still got some at home, and I used to get boxes of 50 for 500 yen, I just walked away.

40 Masks? Wow huge

Major crime report!

Any idiot knows a square box down your pants looks odd.

the worst shoplifting in Conbini (according to owner and another cop friend) is by Jnr/hi school girls.

They go for make-up cos expensive but easy to Palm and conceal.
