NHK should keep in mind its reliance on viewers' money and take a sincere attitude toward them.

Could be, but NHK already treats the Abe administration with kid gloves.

Personally I think it's more just empty pablum.

"Consider their feelings, please."

"Okay, we considered their feelings. Job done, very successful, now shall we continue as normal?"

"Yes please. Good job!"

It's probably just a little reminder after the Government made it compulsory to pay for NHK. NHK (or abechanneru as it's known in Japanese) have been after a new broadcasting centre for years as the present one is woefully outdated. That will cost an astronomical amount of money so gaining the people's understanding will be vitally important; "Toe the line and you'll get a new HQ," something like that.

And as I don't watch any J-TV you won't be getting a single yen from me either.
