Consider my feelings all you want.
I wont give you a seconds thought.
And as I don't watch any J-TV you won't be getting a single yen from me either.
Glad we understand each other.

NHK may have made sense in the 1950s but now it's nothing less than a scam.

People are forced to pay for a propaganda machine? Shouldn't Abe pay for his own stuff?

Is this a shot across the bow of NHK by the Abe administration? There must have been some unwanted reporting, or something critical of the Abe Gov't to warrant this slap down.

Could be, but NHK already treats the Abe administration with kid gloves.
Personally I think it's more just empty pablum.
"Consider their feelings, please."
"Okay, we considered their feelings. Job done, very successful, now shall we continue as normal?"
"Yes please. Good job!"

It's probably just a little reminder after the Government made it compulsory to pay for NHK. NHK (or abechanneru as it's known in Japanese) have been after a new broadcasting centre for years as the present one is woefully outdated. That will cost an astronomical amount of money so gaining the people's understanding will be vitally important; "Toe the line and you'll get a new HQ," something like that.

I'll second that!

So true...never thought of that point.
I didn't want to pay the NHK fees, but my J-wife is such a conformist that she pays them behind my back.
I suspect many of us get caught with this one.
Me too. ;)
