Yes, that definitely won't become a thing that people will be irritated by and start ignoring right away.

No they shouldn't. When is the proliferation of nannyism going to end?

Why don't we all congregate outside once an hour and do some synchronized stretches to music played through a loud speaker?

What I'd love to have is one of those tables which can go up to the point where you're standing while working on your computer. Then if you want to sit while working, just lower the table.

Why is telework the supposed problem? I imagine it would be more serious in an office, where individuals tend to have less freedom than in their own homes.

The notification bombardment from today's electronic devices is already out of hand. No desire for my computer to add another one.

I had my Apple Watch set all the health functions and alarms, plus an additional app telling me when to drink water, and it all nearly drove me ballistic, giving me more stress than not having any of it. Just stand up when you think about it, and move about if you can. Drink some water when you get a chance, and stretch if able.

I guess the smokers don't need this kind of alert. That regular trip to the back door or balcony and back must have some benefits.

I used to have an office job when I first came to Japan about 15 years ago. I hated every minute of it and could never work well nor concentrate while sitting. I would just fall asleep and not pay attention. I Really enjoy exercise and walking. I limit my time sitting down and allocating most paper work to my wife who enjoys that kind of work and is very good at it. What I do does not require sitting anyway. Unless I am doing something creative, If I am not outside, not moving, I feel like I am not working. When I have to work on my computer it comes outside with me on nice days where I can enjoy nature.

Just put a crate, small portable table, or shelf on your desk and viola, it becomes an instant stand up desk. When you want to sit down, use high stool or chair.

My computer sits on a shelf, kind of like store shelves where they put products for sale on, and it's the best thing I've ever done - making it a stand-up desk. When I get tired of standing, I sit on my stool. Been feeling like Superman ever since.

Don't need a beeper on my computer annoying me every 20 minutes.

Everything automatic on my PC/devices is turned off except the anti-virus update, and that isn't going to change. Headphones plugged in keep stuff from beeping.

Given the inestimable importance of the health of our beloved leaders, I think that all politicians should have their chairs removed for the sake of their well-being, leaving them to stand all day. Because we care.

My Apple Watch does it on an hourly basis and I am thankful for it.

My work involves working on my computer for long periods and pre-apple watch days I would end up sitting for hours!

And now with the WFH, I just pick up my laptop and take it to a different room in the house. Makes things more interesting!!!
