Hidehiko Watanuki, a Fukuoka City assembly member of the Japanese Communist Party. Since April, the Fukuoka city government has been installing cameras in interview rooms at ward offices where citizens consult staff about welfare benefits.

while I dont think Ill ever need it, I have no problem collecting welfare payments if the situation came that I would need them. I dont give two F what the average person thinks or society looks at welfare recipients, Ive paid enough taxes over the years to ensure that my right to welfare payments if needed.

Why would they record it? Disgusting.

They record people needing help, but not police interviewing suspects.
