Hypocrites, Mr Gates and his wife.

can someone ask them to eat their money and let the rest of as alone.

How dare you criticise Mr & Mrs Gates. They're the secular modern incarnation of Mr & Mrs Jesus, and anyone who questions their pure motives is just a crazy conspiracy theorist. Show some respect, Mr Maes.

This is a decent move on their part.

Everybody should be pitching in together, to halt the advance of the virus.

Then, maybe we can tackle stupidity.

Because they are making you take advantage of it? how?

Vaccines are a perfectly good way to use money, don't like the people? that is fine, but those that benefit from very necessary health measures probably care more about getting them than your opinion.

Motives are very secondary to the results, people basing their criticism on fantasies that cannot be proved and illogical arguments have no ground to stand. Criticize as much as you like once you have done your part on helping others (and no, promoting the religious belief in supposed world conspiracies that include every single person that don't think like you is not any kind of help).

I totally agree, I wouldn’t trust anything that man puts his hands on especially when it involves putting something in my body. Gates and his wife can fade away.

Why don’t people trust/like the Gates? Oh, that’s correct, right wing conspiracy theories. Why bother thinking for yourself when you can just latch on to some untethered conspiracy theory that isn’t supported by any evidence at all. It seems to be the m.o. of rightists.

Why do left-wing people love him? When he was running Microsoft, he was the greedy monopolist left-wingers loved to hate. What made you. collectively, change?

Follow the money

No, just don’t believe this former big tech billionaire has my best interest at heart or the average American for a multitude of reasons, if people want to take the vaccine, go right ahead, I won’t and don’t need to, don’t trust it or the guy.

Why bother thinking for yourself

I do as do millions that an decide for themselves as for the people that want to take this vaccine, best of luck to them.

I’ve never heard anyone talk about Gates in those terms.

You must admit that Gates is now on the conspiracy theory hymn sheet along with George Soros. I’d have guessed you weren’t a fan.

@bass

What are some of the ‘multitude of reasons’ you don’t trust Gates? Do you prefer billionaires who skim off charities rather than give money to them.

I find the Gates to be very generous and trying to lift people out of poverty instead of putting their boots on other’s necks.

I don’t trust him because no I made him an expert undies infectious diseases and yet he feels that he is one, he doesn’t have any sort of medical degree, but he thinks that he does, we have to listen to a former Harvard dropout for his personal opinion on medical diseases?

Love how you threw in that “collectively” to try an paint all people with different politics than you as some sort of monolithic entity

The way liberals do all conservatives?

Gates are trying to control society through vaccination programs.

Well, excuse me, but millions of us won’t be jumping on the Gates bandwagon, those that do, their choice and best of luck to them.

What are some of the ‘multitude of reasons’ you don’t trust Gates?

No, I don’t trust Philanthropists that strut around thinking they know what’s best for the country especially the ones with billions that are tight with China and refuse to call China out on their handling of this pandemic.

Do you prefer billionaires who skim off charities rather than give money to them.

No, this is why I don’t vote Democrat.

The Gates are making a fortune from their INVESTMENTS.

Not being a left-winger, I wouldn’t be able to answer for left-wingers. I find the Gates to be very generous and trying to lift people out of poverty instead of putting their boots on other’s necks.

Going by your normal posts, I assumed you're a left winger, and hadn't seen you say otherwise. If I was wrong, well, so be it, but the way you refer to people right of centre, it's not unreasonable to guess you're left of centre.

As for Gates, I don't trust any monopolist due to the practices and ethics one needs (or doesn't need) to attain that level of wealth and power, regardless of how well they dress themselves up with good PR. And it is a power thing; at his level money doesn't matter anymore. Don't get me wrong - I like free markets and don't begrudge the wealthy if they've built their wealth through honest business, but Gates and the like do abuse their power to crush competition/opposition and control public perceptions of themselves through the PR they can afford to buy. Bill and Melinda Gates are no more recognised as medical experts as either of us, yet any pronouncement by them about vaccines and other medications are treated as gospel, presumably because they fund the WHO and GAVI.

And I'm not an anti-vaxxer - I've had several during my life with no ill effects, and would willingly take others if the need outweighs the risks. Like @bass, I don't think my interests align with those of Gates, and in the long term I'm skeptical about whether his interests and those of the world at large align as well. And the way vaccination is being pushed as the only way to open up the world again - as long as we take a vaccine for SARS-CoV-2 - leaves me cold. Despite what we're led to believe, the evidence shows that this virus does not affect the vast majority of people. Thousands of medical professionals who are well qualified to comment question the need for mass vaccination and lockdowns and investigate non-vaccine prevention/treatments are smeared as quacks and conspiracy theorists in the media without seriously countering their arguments with facts. Essentially we're being manipulated into trading our liberty to freely move, speak and associate for some sort of security through a vaccine, even though very few people actually need it. But Bill and Melinda Gates are all tight thanks, Jack. They don't need to play by the same rules as us.
