A Nakano Ward fish seller who buys from Tokyo's Toyosu fish market daily, opposing plans to open the wholesale fish market to the general public. Since it opened last October, trading has been limited to fresh fish sellers, restaurant owners and other business customers.

Yep don't want tax payers anywhere near it. God forbid people who paid for it 10 times over actually visit to see what their grandchildren have to pay for.

The way that people stand in the middle of sidewalks here 3-4 abreast or in front of station entrances etc never ceases to amaze me.

Japan is so crowded yet the inability to ignore others certainly makes me hope that the ban is kept in place.

There are plenty of sushi restaurants here more than willing to show and sell plenty of fish.
