Since Japan is experiencing a severe labour shortage, I don't know why more workers in such situations dont just say, "take this job and shove it." Their docility makes them part of the problem, not the solution.
This is one reason why developed countries need strong labour unions again.

One of the greatest nuclear threats and mishaps of our time and the focus OF COURSE is on cost cutting, intimidation, silence and responsibility avoidance. Japan needs to be showing the world that they are indeed capable as a culture of handling this situation, but the evidence shows back to the same old playbook.
