A spokesperson for the Kobe Municipal Board of Education, warning children against participating in an annual Halloween event in the city, which is organized by the Japan's largest recognized crime group, the Yamaguchi-gumi. Members of the group dress up as ghouls to give out candy to kids for free.

PR for Gangsters, just like Ronald MacDonald, winning the hearts of the kids with gimmicks and snacks. Sign of the times. Also the principal by telling the kids not to go, you know where that road leads!

It's a shame they don't dress up as yakuza. I guess it's too scary in a country where Anna from Frozen is an acceptable Halloween costume.

The idea of yakuza dressing as yakuza reminds of the great bits in the Sopranos where they do Godfather impressions.
