quote of the day
When Ghosn declared his love for his company, colleagues and Nissan employees, he reminded everyone in Japan that he was once a hero in Japan. He also made the top executives of Nissan appear dishonorable, ungrateful, and sneaky.

Doesn't matter Jake. He is not of pure blood, so they will hang him out to dry. But this is really taking a toll on Japan's image overseas and will have repercussions for years to come. Good job Japan Inc!

Pure blood mediocre and sometimes corrupt, it's more preferable. Even can put companies to bankruptcy.

.
Ghosn "love" for Japan turns out to be shamelessly exploitative.
He set up some "sub"- subsidiary companies under the cover of the main subsidiary in Netherlands.
Through these ' sub' companies he bled Nissan money for personal gain; for example:
1, around ***$63,000/ per year ***membership for Rio de Janeiro Yacht Club 2. around ***$75,000 ***for a*** ***chandelier for the Beirut houseAll this he managed to systematically conceal
However there is hard evidence ( his emails/ his hand written memos) of this kind of "love' Ghosn has for Japan and Nissan.
No wonder he is crying crocodile tears !!! :-)

That’s cause it was dishonorable, ungrateful and sneaky! Where’s the samurai spirit? Face your opponent eye to eye. Battle it out with honor. The Yamatodamashi was part of the cultural appeal of Japan in the first place. The Easts version of chivalry. Maybe it was just a myth, who knows.

Semper,
You clearly have a lot of non-public information there. Reveal your sources!
Or, wait quietly for the facts like the rest of us.
Thank you.

Yes this leaves a bad taste. Must say it beggard belief that he could "systematically" defraud the company and taxman without anyone in Nissan's Finance department being complicit or aware.

You said it Ricky!!

Of course - there are some ( few) people within Nissan who co-opted with with in some ways.
That is why the prosecution has indicted Nissan as well.
Probably the prosecution is focusing on consolidating Ghosn's case - and then close in on the others involved.

Sources as in guilty convictions proving certain actions were taken.

Sneaky, dirty rats.

Ghosn treated Nissan as his personal piggy bank.
