This will make ordinary Japanese citizens targets for attacks if the violence escalates. Good job.

@joey stalin

Wouldn't it be nice if certain fanatical religious types could stop attacking and killing people? I mean, it's not too hard to ask right?

Not a good idea to take sides in a conflict like this. The rocket attacks are a case of tit for tat. Years of built up resentment, pain and hate on both sides has to climax someday and no matter which party you talk to, they both make sense in their explanation. This kind of statement is a slap in the face of all those who have suffered in this conflict, and is just a case of supporting a business partner.

Japan needs to stay out of this.

Yasuhide Nakayama, you don't speak for me.

You don't speak for any people who have suffered from the evils of occupation.

While the other side only has rocks to throw...

Speak for yourself, Nakayama....

Who fired rockets against ordinary citizens first?

Oh come on, it’s not just about ‘who fired first’, it’s much more complex than that.

Why did they fire rockets?

Breaking a hugely complex situation down into a simple comment in which you declare allegiance to one side over the other isn’t going to help deescalate things or bring peace closer.

Screw Israel. Free Palestine!

"“You take my water, burn my olive trees, destroy my house, take my job, steal my land, imprison my father, kill my mother, bombard my country, starve us all, humiliate us all, but I am to blame: I shot a rocket back.” (Naom Chomsky)

This happens because Israel continue to push the Palestinians. This time they are evicting Palestinian families from their homes that were legally given to them by Jordan who controlled the land at the time, for them to give up right of return and refuge status. Israel has a habit of stealing from an impoverished people and then blaming them for what follows.

If someone kept pushing me around and stealing from me I would eventually punch them in the nose. Then they pull a gun and shoot me dead saying it was my fault for attacking them.

Sorry but I have switched from feeling sorry for the Jews because of the horrendous holocaust, to sympathy for the Palestinians who were not involved in the holocaust but are being made to pay for it by a nation of apartheid supporting right wing extremest hard core Jews who dont do their civil duty and who are supported by the nation while they spend their lives reading ancient scriptures written by people so enlightened they believed the world to be flat. Any people believing themselves to be "gods chosen" or "racially superior" or any other form of "we are better because" has a problem.

Israel would get a lot further and be much safer if they became "good neighbors". Create a fully sovereign Palestine with the people of Palestine and help develop their infrastructure and schools and be friendly rather than being terrible, pushy self important neighbors. You will bet better responses from sharing than pushing others down and keeping for yourself.

My country is also now ‘occupied ‘ in a certain sense and I would never have the idea to bomb it with thousands of rockets. lol

He is siding with a Zionist government that has retaliated by murdering 109 of which 28 are children (so far)! Way to go Israel. Well done! Apartheid will not prevail. Genocide will not prevail. Zionism will not survive.

The rocket attacks are a case of tit for tat.

So when Hamas randomly fires rockets which will surely kill innocent civilians it is justified, but when Israel attacks the rocket launchers hiding in residential areas, it is murder.

What kind of perverted thought process has devised this logic????

Frankly, the SDF has no right to express opinion, political of seemingly personal. The SDF were clearly out of constitutional bounds in making that stupid and ipso facto declaration. The SDF must be punished.

Good on Nakayama for standing up to the anti-semites and terrorist apologists around the world.

Japan bends sometimes, but doesn't give into the cancerous ideology of white liberals.

Not in the way you think.

Why is it that when I try to vote down the people supporting Israel nothing happens?

2 ( +8 / -6 )

I'm old enough to remember when self-righteous Western white liberals actually cared about Israel.

But that was before they set up the Hierarchy of Victimhood chart.

If you swing at me I will swing back with a club or a bat or a iron bar, if you shoot at me I will shoot back with a bigger gun, if you dont fire or swing I wont retaliate. If you do not understand how it is , then go over there and sit down and rethink things, I will not swing first, but i will swing hard if provoked.

Take that how ever you like !

In fact, it’s just impossible to end that decades long conflict there. Why? Just think about it. But I give you generously a hint. The people from both sides who could end the conflict are just not to find there, because they have already long left the region to anywhere else in the world. Therefore, the population is only consisting of all the remaining people who are not willing and capable to live peacefully together, very simple, poor and extremely religious people, that will never reach out their hands to the other side. Of course you can also find a handful of hi tech companies in Israel or moderate peace loving Palestine people, that’s not what I mean , that’s the exception there.

Not helpful, Nakayama-san.

I don't read any anti-semitism here, except from people trying to twist comments into anti-semitism. There is no denying that Israel has trampled on the Palestinians for generations now.

Here is the recent report of the Human Rights Watch organization. It describes the human rights abuses that are instrumental to understand the current turmoil that is just more of the same for generations now.

Japan should stay out of this, I believe very few people here understand this conflict. It is sad to see the world we live in, where the world allows the oppressor to do whatever they like with advanced weaponry and does not allow the oppressee to even shout back. This is our so called developed and civilized world.

"Their target was what the IDF called 'the Metro', an underground network of tunnels where Hamas stored its weapons and used to move through Gaza hidden from Israeli aircraft"

Terrorists gonna terrorize.

Israel is a nuclear power, Gaza has rockets that do not fly straight and are nearly all blocked by the anti-rocket defense that the USA helped Israel to build. No sense of balance at all in this conflict. It is like the slaves in the USA fighting against their owners. And what is really behind the apartheid policy, the thing that poisons everything, religion. The right wing religion types in Israel, just like the right wing types in the USA, believe their savior is coming back soon if the Arabs are wiped out. Just horrible racist cruel behavior of course justified by using the name of God to kill others. Plenty of examples of that in the Bible for sure, no much has changed in 2000 years.

Seriously? Was not expecting this, just because you are under America and you have to do exactly what US is doing is pathetic!!!!
