quote of the day
Wild boars appear basically every night. They come in groups, and try to break into the shed. I've felt scared every day.

Shoot 'em and eat 'em.

Yep that was the thought in my mind as I read this. I have a cracking recipe for wild boar and garlic sausages!

Is it safe to eat radioactive boar meat?
Mocheake
Those boars would be barbecued by now if I were living up there. Boar jerky. Boar steaks. Boar ribs. Could get bored of eating it though.

A neighbor of my in-laws, who raises chickens for eggs, traps the boers in the mountains and makes sausage. We always by the fresh eggs every time we go visit. ¥500.
The poor fella is still using his hands to stuff the sausage though, and he said it takes hours. I felt bad for not showing any interest in coming back during sausage stuffing and eating time. I think I'll put together a simple stuffer for him using some PCV and a car jack. I need one myself anyway, so why not make two. Really nice couple and has one of those markers on his house for foreigners who want to experience rural life, free room and food in exchange for helping with the chores.

@mocheake, I would add wild boar pate to your list. (same with Nara deers, what a waste!)
