Human rights counseling services for foreigners by Ministry of Justice

The Ministry of Justice offers multilingual human rights counseling services to support international residents facing human rights issues. The services are available by phone (Foreign-Language Human Rights Hotline), online (Human Rights Counseling Services in Foreign Languages on the Internet), and in-person (Human Rights Counseling Centers for Foreigners). They are set up through 50 Legal Affairs Bureaus and District Legal Affairs Bureaus throughout Japan and were created to support foreigners who are not fluent Japanese speakers.

Have you ever felt discriminated against for your ethnicity? That could be a human rights issue. Perhaps you were rejected from renting an apartment or refused a haircut at a salon. Maybe your child was bullied at school for being foreign, or your neighbors are not welcoming of your customs. These are exactly the types of issues you can discuss with one of the representatives.

The human rights bodies of the Ministry of Justice provide counseling on human rights issues. Where necessary, they will conduct fact-finding investigations and take appropriate measures to provide relief and prevent further issues.

Remember that you are not alone. If you ever feel you have experienced a human rights violation, reach out to the human rights counseling services first. With their help, you can find the best solution to your problem.

Counseling on the phone and on the internet is available in 10 languages: English, Chinese, Korean, Filipino, Portuguese, Vietnamese, Nepali, Spanish, Indonesian and Thai.

As the bureau is a governmental body, all advice is neutral and impartial. No paperwork is required.

Counseling services are available by phone, online, and face-to-face.

The Ministry of Justice offers multilingual human rights counseling services to support international residents facing human rights issues.

Probably involving a lot of urging and requests not to confuse people.

And no sanctions on the perps as real estate in particular discriminates as a rule and is a big racket in Japan.

human rights are very low in Japan not only for foreigner. also, those who are a Naturalized Japanese.

It sounds like a way for the LDP to suppress information about Japan's systemic mistreatment of foreigners to save their precious false image.

Too bad that Wishma couldn't go to this Human Rights Counseling.

They would have saved her live for sure.
