What a mess. Wrong venue. and FIFA trying to make even more money out of the event. 48 teams is just too many.

Agreed. The proposals for 48 teams are ludicrous. 16 groups of 3 teams, with two of the three progressing to the 'regular' 32 team format. Longer World Cup, more games.
It has also been pointed out that under that format there exists the possibility of the two teams playing the last match colluding to create a favourable result for both of them. Think W. Germany vs Austria in 1982.

There should be Another world cup for other groups that didn't pass through.
I'm pretty sure it will dominate those top 32 team world cup whether in the media or fandom or profit etc.
China can make this happen.
