Paris Olympics ticket prices mar image of Games for all

I made sure to go to the 2008 Olympics in Beijing because tickets were set unbelievably cheaper than those before and since. I went to 16 events, mostly finals. For example, my swimming final's tickets were about the equivalent of ¥5000 (face value), whereas for the 2020 Tokyo games they went on sale for ¥108,000. I saw finals in judo, track and field, volleyball, gymnastics, etc. Table tennis was impossible due to huge demand understandably

Welcome to today's edition of "first world problems". If you cannot go to the event live, you can always watch at home, in a bar etc. And save a ton of money on mediocre food and drinks!

I don’t think ticket prices are the things that tarnished the games image

I think the IOC has done well enough itself tarnishing their image. No help needed.

I feel that these sporting events are great fun for everyone, but I wish the tickets were free.

I thought l should sell it cheaply so that many people could see the Olympics.
