perhaps people should just wear togas and sandals when attending Olympic events.... this would facilitate body searches and give a traditional long lost feel to the games...

Allison hopes people will embrace the games rather than using them as a platform for anarchy.

Sadly I think there will be people who will do just that. Anarchists and militant protesters love an audience, and the Olympics will give them the biggest stage they've ever had.

The army operation will be using surface-to-air missiles systems, typhoon fighter jets, helicopters, two warships and bomb disposal experts.

I think they mean military rather than army but I get their point... there have been some complaints about SAMs being placed on tower blocks and in other residential areas. Great way to gain public confidence Mr Cameron, put a missile battery in the garden!
