Yes correctly pointed out, Ameila Leary, the hidden fees, expenses and small print.

I am in the process of claiming back from my credit card company indemnity insurance.

The approved ticket agent charged a convenience fee, facility charge, and last an exorbitant, service fee.

Frankly I thought I would would forfeit the entire cost.

I have taken some legal advice to clarify my right to claim a refund. It could be a long drawn out process due to this pandemic affect on liability and the fact Japan 2020 Games has not been cancelled.

Interestingly ticket resell could be a route to claim. However lawyers are like walking a preverbal financial plank and subsequently drowning.

Under the conditions, a considerable sum of money, also the hotel costs, was given a full refund on the tickets bought. However, I planned to lose any of the kudos to the hotels and ticket agent expenses.

JCosplay, my humble opinion, Athens as a permanent Olympian sport home/destination is worth debate/consideration.

It could revive, restore the games integrity, save this hideous unnecessary cost expenditure, at the expense of public welfare and urgent social care programs.

No kind of demonstration or political, religious or racial propaganda is permitted in the Olympic areas'

Chapter 5 of the Olympic charter.

The very woke Sebastian Coe, a member of the International Olympic Committee and former Olympian, visited the National Stadium in Tokyo on Oct 7, 2020. In a speech at the newly built venue, Coe offered his opinion that athletes should be allowed to protest respectfully at the Games next summer.

“I have been very clear that if an athlete chooses to take a knee at the podium, then I’m supportive of that,” said Coe. He added that protesting should be done respectfully, but his statement may still contradict official Olympic policy banning political, religious or racial propaganda.

While International Olympic Committee boss Thomas Bach has said he is "very confident" spectators will be allowed at next year's event, he has also warned full stadiums may not be possible as the pandemic rages on.

Return the Olympic Game to its natural home, Athens, and honor once and for all…

Return the Olympics back to Athens, now there’s an interesting thought. I mean, with what the games have become in recent decades, I’m not entirely opposed to this idea. And with this pandemic, there is another good argument for it.

I made sure I got my refund, I have no confidence that they will do enough to protect spectators from catching Corona. and I have no confidence the country I support will be willing to even send athletes to compete.

Over the years preceding these Japan 2020 Olympics a huge capital investment program has followed.

Vast sums, coupled with the inherent political capital in all forms, fiscal, social, economic associated with this spectacle, have been devoted to a so-called sports competition, that when reduced to its base element is an orgy of geopolitics, between wars, boycotts, protests, walkouts a terrorist attack, drug cheats. the list is endless.

Time for change. This pandemic has revealed the IOC insatiable lust for the accumulation of capital at the determent of any athletic diversity or celebrated sporting achievement.

Received a full refund on the tickets purchased, under the circumstances, a substantial amount of money, also the hotel expenses. I expected to forfeit some of the costs however kudos to the hotels and ticket agency.

I cannot risk the health and welfare of my nieces, on the whim that, a raft of safety measures they said would make it possible to hold the Games, even if the pandemic has not been brought under control.

Plus, the assumption that International Olympic Committee boss Thomas Bach statement of "confidence", in any respect valid.

The one and only measure, I suggest, Olympic Committee boss Thomas Bach is confident of, is to covenant the Olympic Committees thirty pieces of silver. with cynical disregard to the public health risks.

Understandably, my nieces are disappointed, I will make it up to them.
