Amazing fightback by the Citizens, well done. At 2-0 down with, with Villa gaffer and Liverpool legend Gerrard doing everything in his power to win the title for Liverpool, the Citizens quality shone through. Guardiola was 14 minutes away from a trophy-less season and being fired.

It was the best EPL season of all time. This is why the EPL is the best league on earth, and all the European leagues are completely in its shadow.

Amazing season by a great Liverpool team. They may have lost the Quadruple chance but the treble is still on!

Scenes.

Ugh, the worse thing is that Leeds get to stay up while Burnley go down.

WOW! The drama of it all. One for the history books. And the North West remains the land of champions.

@Fighto: Agree on all, Congrats to Man City. It truly was a great season - But Pep was never ever going to be sacked.

Drama to the very end at both top and bottom, so yes, a great season.

Three months ahead that should have had a World Cup in it, so I'll miss the football.

The NW has pretty much been the football powerhouse of England since football was invented. Sure there have been attempts by London to muscle in....Chelski in recent years and Arsenal have always been sniffing around, but between Liverpool and Man United and now Man City, the NW has kept a firm grip on it's position.

Well that went right down to the wire. A shame Villa couldn't hold on to it but nothing like a bit of high stakes drama to end the season.

Some finish that. City and Liverpool are miles better than everyone else but Villa and Wolves made them fight for it.

I didn’t expect Leeds to get anything at Brentford. I thought both Leeds and Burnley would lose. Newcastle could have a top 6 shot next season.

Seeing absolutely sod all from Everton and Norwich to make the last CL place interesting was nailed on.

Son and Salah sharing the Golden Boot was about right.

Great fightback. Memorable title deciding win. Pep and his Citizens have done justice to their enormous potential. Congrats for winning the EPL crown.

Fully expected Leeds to throw it away but the better team has stayed up as Burnley is a tedious team and outstayed their welcome in the PL.

Yes, for sure. I'm a Leeds fan from the Don Revie days and this time -

you lose the War of the Roses.

Great post but Man City's comeback was epic, real football.

This however -

thousands of City fans flooded onto the field at the final whistle, defying new orders against pitch invasions. Soon the stadium was cloaked in blue smoke.

is not on and I wonder if Man City being forced to forfeit their win because of it would have any effect in the future?

Yes, but as I predicted two weeks ago, Liverpool would fizzle out because of its schedule while City had an easier time. Your sidekick who had a breakdown over criticism over Anfield Stadium and is now painting by numbers is also chowing down on humble pie.

Great pic of animals making a mass breakout from their zoo. What about the shirtless little oik in the foreground who appears to be about to punch someone? Let's hope this is the last game he attends for a long time.
