Really good game!

Haven't seen Japan play like this for ages! Fast passing without much fooling around.

But their opponent was not in the best shape - all lines had problems and that showed in the result.

The referee should have given yellow card several times to a Korean player that did repeated fouls and even pushing and pulling without the ball.

"Of course there are things that we can learn from this result and analyze, but the circumstances were not the same for the two teams," said South Korea manager Paulo Bento.

Trying to get out ahead because he knows he'll be under fire for this. Should have been at least 5-0 for Japan if Minamino had his scoring boots on.

They obviously don't like to lose to Japan and were frustrated.

Even Koreans are bashing one player who elbowed Tomiyasu in the mouth. Looks like he might have broken part of his tooth.

Congrats to Japan! I have to say, though, I watched some parts of this game and I have rarely seen more boring soccer. It really looked weak. Even the goals seemed tired. Here's hoping this was just a warm-up in more ways than one.

The Koreans usually play dirty against Japan but the Japanese players have gotten used to it.

And the Japanese press conveniently forgot to mention that a Japan team coach got covid 2 days prior to the game

Ah yes, a real "clash of the Titans" match! lol
