No transfer fee. That's a big 'ouch' for Barcelona.

Arguably the greatest player of the the biggest sport on earth, sport. Not quite at the level of popularity of your comic books and cartoons, but each to their own…

Two years in France and maybe a bit of MLS to finish off?

Kobe is a possibility, Mikitani has deep pockets.

I really hope that another team, like Lille, win Ligue 1.

No one team should have that much money to spend

That is crazy. Imagine he get's injured a few weeks into the season? He's not young.

Isn't he like ancient already? How is he still playing soccer at that age? Time for the new blood to take over. He is rich anyway. Should have retired.

His fat French contract has put the smile back on his face. Plus Paris is more fun than provincial Barcelona, even if the weather is worse.

Just how much money does he need? Hopefully, he is a generous philanthropic guy who doesn't publicise this aspect. Millions of euros certainly changed his mood quickly.

We have gone from clubs belonging to a group of like-minded friends, to clubs belonging to cities, to clubs belonging to billionaires, to clubs belonging to nation-states. Hard for me to get my mind around it all.
