Naomi Osaka, truly an inspiration, under the circumstances, restrictions of pandemic.
That's a trophy and a half, well disserved, hold it high.
Fighto!
Well done Naomi-chan, WELL DONE!! There is no doubt we are witnessing the future GOAT.
Party time in Japan tonight!

Congratulations.

Well, Congrats to her, she won it fair and square, but I still prefer Serena.

Many shallow posters on JT went after Osaka for her strong BLM support. Guess now they cannot celebrate her continuing success both on the court and off.

I may not agree with Naomi Osaka political ambitions.
However Naomi Osaka is a true tennis professional, athlete and some. a winner first and foremost.

Congratulations! Getting better every day.
Great to see another trophy for a japanese player.
Such a humble player also, great example for the younger ones.

Steffi Graf for me. Still the greatest in women’s tennis.

Congratulations. Great match, splendid victory.
well, would have agreed if Naomi didn't give up her US citizenship for Japan.

Serious question ... has she actually shown any evidence that she renounced her US Citizenship?
Fighto!
Well argued. I agree. Those Japanese players Majors are mounting up now! Tennis is enormous as a sport in Japan (traditionally soft tennis but increasingly Western tennis), and with one of their own Naomi-chan as an inspiration to the millions of kids playing, there is no reason more Naomi-chans cannot be discovered in the next 10 years. Japan is a rising power in the world, and a rising nation in tennis.

Go Osaka, Go Japan

Reaching a GS finals is a huge achievement. As always one wins, the other is yet to win. But congratulations to both. All the best to Jennifer Brady in the challenges ahead.

Last time I checked (3 minutes ago) she was WELL behind Barty and Halep, on a solid #3 ranking... Hyperbolic writing much?

No one is claiming that she's the best female tennis player of all time, but she's indeed the current best one.

Well done, pleased you won.

I've read somebody complaining that NHK cut the broadcasting in the middle of the 4th game...
But, I've watched On Live, and the broadcast was straight here. So, I don't know what happened in other countries.

Congrats! Osaka has become more mature and confident. The remaining challenges she should deal with are clay (French) and grass (Wimbledon) courts.

Yes Yes, beautiful athlete!
What in the Edo era?
Go on Daimyo tell us how you really feel… Who needs brains these days when we've got retro wisdom speaking for all. While your'e at it, tell me, who died and made you king of Japanese Culture?
I'll wait.

Job well done. I really enjoyed her performances during this tournament.

Thanks for giving the great inspiration, Naomi!
