We were very disappointed yesterday. She can beat Lesia Tsurenko easily but Osaka-san didn't try to do her best. She behaved like a child. Her coach has to go down and tell her, to do her best every time she play. It's not good Naomi-chan. She needs to grow up. The fans are expecting to play her best but she let them down yesterday. She will lose her sponsor if she lazy and bad attitude.
She should withdraw next time if she doesn't want to play tennis. It will be better for her fans. I hope the WTA will fine her next time if she play like yesterday.

She is young, just 21 years old. I think another 3 or 4 years under her belt and you will see a very different player.
I think Nishikori is in with a real shot of winning Brisbane and he is providing a great example for Japanese men in tennis.

Why? Lots of people already provide that. If he loses will he still be a great example? I say yes, but a lot of people like to forget the people they overhype when they end up doing badly. People are VERY hesitant to say "2019 will be his year!" after doing so the past six years and being wrong. I always say just do your best.

Players are people like you and me, as we know. It's the "fans" like Chop Chop that are fickle. And don't forget, most Japanese fans of Osaka are bandwagon, and even months before she won her first Masters didn't claim to care about her, and a year to two years before claiming she was not Japanese.

It's different when the target is on your back
That's why it's often said that staying at the top is harder than getting there - props to those who are able to stay there for awhile
