Hope we can see Osaka vs Serena gain.

As Serena Williams made her way out to the Australian Open's main court during pre-match introductions, the voice booming over the stadium's speakers implored spectators to welcome "the world's No. 1 player — from Romania, Simona Halep."

"Implored" "booming"? I wonder if it were the other way around would it have been written the same way?

Halep is No.1 for a reason and there is no way the announcer needs to use a "booming voice" nor "implore" the crowd to cheer her on. She earned her rank.

Serena may very well get back to being No 1 again, but she has to earn it too! Do we need to have people be "implored" to cheer her on? I think not!
