At Wimbledon, Radder's mother didn't pack enough clothes for her, thinking she'd crash out after the first one or two rounds! At Flushing Meadows, she now has to rebook her airline tickets because she thought she'd crash out soon after the qualifying rounds!

Saw a video of her when she was being interviewed round about the age of 11 or so. Already very chatty, bubbly and intelligent. She also seems to enjoy interviews. How refreshing. But I hope the pressures won't get to her. Also good to see her choose to represent the country she grew up in and decide to finish and do excellent in her school-leaving exams. What a refreshing change to some of the antics we've been seeing lately.

It is amazing to think that she was in a perfectly ordinary UK high school until a few months ago, unaware that she was about to get a wildcard to Wimbledon.
