That's already happening with Fiji, and some other Pacific Islands, players being lured by money and playing for national teams in foreign countries. And Australia is not innocent.

Globalization, and its wrong consequences.

Like fighting for mercenaries fighting for your enemies.

That's why personally I stopped watching sports in general.

A city, a region or a country are now made of imported players mainly, making any purpose only financial.

France, England and Japan have been drawing players out of New Zealand for years to play in the local competitions. It is a foolish ploy as it leaves the local players out of the opportunity to grow and develop within the system which weakens the national team in the long term.

Japan used Kiwi coaches and Kiwi born players and is now a tier one nation having beaten SA, IRE and SCOT in the last 6 years. Foolish? yeah right!
