The very best ever! And he went out on top with a 15-0 record in the July Nagoya basho! It was always a pleasure to see him in action, and his passion for the sport will certainly be missed.

Hakuho outlasted fellow yokozuna Harumafuji, Kakuryu and Kisenosato, but his impending retirement will leave only one wrestler -- Terunofuji -- at sumo's highest rank.

To this day I cannot believe Kisenosato made it to yokozuna! He was woeful!

A sad day, and the passing of a Golden Era.

May the Sumo Association remember only your good points with gratitude and forgiveness, and grant you your wish to have your own stable.

Certainly not an avid fan, but usually catch bits here and there.

Hakuho is dominant, always admire anyone who can dominate their chosen field for so long.

Enjoy retirement.
