I think the Braves has had multiple native American representatives on paid staff for years to discuss all "Braves" related issues that could be offensive to those populations. The "tomahawk chop" cheer was the most offensive in the last polls and I think it was removed - a few years ago.

Every adult knows that historical figures are caricatures, not real. This knowledge needs to be taught to the children of Georgia and for many, going to a Braves game will be the most interesting way for that subject to be learned.
