Congrats ExportExpert and all the fans of the Blacks. You guys thrashed us, the score should have been bigger. Brad Thorn was immense, I'm a massive fan of his. As I said earlier, we were up against it and needed a lot of luck - and a "choke" by the boys in Black! Your guys are better by far from 1 to 15, no comparison. Pre-game banter over now, so truth be told, the wallabies are just a rag-tag bunch of mercenary south sea islanders, Kiwis (including our NZ-reject coach), a midget PNG Kumul, South Africans, didn't-make-it-in-NRL players (Elsom,Barnes) and soft private schoolboys.

Well done on your 2nd World Cup, Kiwis - you now have caught us Aussies! It's been a tough year in NZ so enjoy the exhibition game next week - I have $50 with my bookie on your lads putting 70 points on the French!

Go you good thing!!! Hope the ABs win the world cup next weekend!

Oh how sweet it is to see the real home final chokers playing for 3rd and 4th. ABs are in the final and if France win that there will be rioting in Auckland. Great to see Cruden and Richie having great games.

ALL BLACKS!!!!!!!

Whooohooooo!!! Now that was an awesome game!! Blacks did us proud! A lot of pressure on them to step up tonight and they did it. No stars to take the credit, that was a team effort. Did the jersey proud.

Aussie played close to their best for this team. Any other year and it would've been closer, but this year they just don't have the flare that Aussie always manage to bring to the big games.

I'm proud to be a choker on this fine fine day!!!! It's been a long time. One more win and it's ours.

Looks like that guy who bought the AB2011 car number plate is gonna be rich after all !!

ALL BLACKS !!!!!!!

Thanks Burakumindes, it was a torrid encounter with no holds barred, probably the bloodiest bruising game of the tournament, deep down we all knew the men in black could do it but there were a few nerves.

So hopefully we can put all the trash talk aside now and never have to deal with the slagging we have endured for years, 4 more years was the chant going around the stadium in reference to george gregans tormenting remarks a few years ago.

And the all blacks proved they are chokers as they choked the life out of the aussie team.

Cooper had a blinder for us much to the roaring approval of the 60,000 capacity crowd. hehehe. The crowds gone wild lol.

On to next week and the froggies should be road kill if it all goes to plan.

1 ( +2 / -1 )

I dont know,it was a clinical decisive victory...but just the one early try..I expected more dangerous running from the ABs to be honest, they're not invincible next week by any means..

-1 ( +2 / -3 )

Next up: New Zealand vs. France ...

And look for another slaughter ... with the All Blacks running all over the Frenchies ...

0 ( +1 / -1 )

It's hard to believe that the one team recoginised as the best in the world, the All Blacks, haven't won the World Cup for 24 years. Cup after cup they've choked at the worst possible moment. They've never beaten Australia in a World Cup game, but tonight they've rewritten the record books. Let's hope they continue this trend and take the title next week. They deserve it.

1 ( +2 / -1 )

If NZ win this, then they become the most successful team ever with 1 wins, 1 second place, and a couple of thirds. But until then Australia holds that honour of course.

Bring it on France!!

ALL BLACKS!!!

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

Nice game, AB. Yes, if kicking was better it really would have been a slaughter, but Wallabies just couldnt get a try. If Beale had played, well, well never know. I dont really care who wins next week, but I expect NZ will crush the French. But Id love to see a 1 point gap, like OZ SA and WA FR.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

A frustrating game but the ABs deserved to win. The very early (and only) try seemed to set the tone and that seems to have been the case with a number of the games in this RWC. Anyway, the Wallabies will be fired up for the next few games against the ABs in future tournaments so the rivalry will always continue. Looking forward to the next game!

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

Lunchbox aus and SA have both won the world cup twice so how can the ABs be the most successful team?

0 ( +1 / -1 )

Cooper had a blinder for us much to the roaring approval of the 60,000 capacity crowd.

You had 16 guys on the paddock playing for the All Blacks...not fair! I reckon QC was the All-Black's Man of The Match, geez he plays well for you guys.

Yeah mate he was a plant along with dingo deans, the aussie rugby union fell for the sabotage trap of the NZRFU , give em dingo as a coach he'll get cooper to throw the game for us.

I guess thats why NZ will never have anyone but a Kiwi as All Blacks coach.

I guess thats why NZ will never have anyone but a Kiwi as All Blacks coach.

I doubt Rugby will ever be strong enough in any other nation for New Zealand to even consider appointing a foreign coach. The reason us Aussies have Dingo Deans is because Rugby is a middle-ranked code in Aussie and there are not too many decent Aussie coaches. It's kind of like cricket, or Rugby League - Australia will never appoint a foreign coach in those.

Export,

Aus has 2 titles, 1 second, and one 4th. SA has 2, and they got 3rd in 99

NZ would have 2 titles, a 2nd, and the 23rd places.

ALL BLACKS!!

Serendipitous Yup, the rivalry will always continue, and Cooper will always remember this game and his month of hell in the homeland. Hope he doesn't quit and go to league! Lot of the current All Blacks will quit, as well as the coach after this campaign, and the Tri Nations and Super rugby will be back to normal again next year. But he's gotta go through it all again next week with the crowd and the stadium against Wales. One more loss for Australia before they go home.

I like the way the heavy assault of mind games coming out of Oz actually backfired this time. Clearly the blitz campaign of words spooked the public but seemed to just incense the Dark Side.

This was performance that brought back images of the that mightiest of AB teams in the late 1960s; utterly unstoppable, undefeated, crushing all that opposed them. One hopes they don't all read their own press and get their game faces on for next weeks Final against what is sure to be a vastly improved France.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

@nec' A heavy assault of mind games...a blitz campaign of words '??? Which Aussie press are you reading ??How could something that wasn't said backfire ? Whatever speck of a fat chance they had of winning disappeared with Beale's withdrawal..every man and his dog knew the ABs had to be totally off their game and the refs had to give us an even throw of the dice...didnt happen..and then compare this AB side with the best ever ?? It was a good solid professional win - basically putting a below average side out of their misery-which will undoubtedly be carbon copied next week .. ABs will be deserved World Champs of Rugby....the outstanding team of the tournament helped largely by the rabble of the also rans.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

The aussie press, the aussie players and of course the aussie fans were all mouthing off before the game, just like prior to the first tri nations game this year the aussies mouthing off how they can beat any team and how good they thought they were etc and they were going to beat the all blacks at eden park, at half time the score was 20 nil to the all blacks you'd think the aussies would have learnt to keep the clap trap shut, but no they couldnt stop themselves. Same thing this time , maybe now the wannabies will learn to shut up with the mouth and just play the game.

G O B L A C K

Certainly QC will be wiser for the experience, hows the head slap and head butt on Richie look now?

0 ( +1 / -1 )

One would expect except why did they play so poorly against Wales in a knockout game? They were lucky to win against a 14 man team for 60 minutes. I don't think they have a bigger game in them.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

That opening comment by Burakumindesu, is one of the most gracious comments you'll ever hear from an Aussie after being beaten by the Kiwis. And dittos.

I think next week I'll be an honorary Kiwi. Go the All Blecks!

3 ( +3 / -0 )

'The Aussie press and the Aussie players were mouthing off before the game ...' well 2 AB supporters have said that here so I thought I must have missed it...on revisiting the 2 biggest Sydney newspapers online still couldn't find a single, solitary instance of any player or journalist talking it up or big noting their chances ..today they're both acknowledging the superiority of the AB victory and couldn't be more objective and congratulatory...AND..urge us to get behind them next week..

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Im really impressed in the gracious way the australians have acted after a tough defeat. Great to see the ABs win hope they can keep it up! Personally over France would have rather seen Wales or even Argentina in the finals after those heartfelt and impressive matches they played recently. The French although seemingly having somewhat lucked it through can't be discounted, they have been the makers of some pretty big upsets before.

1 ( +1 / -0 )

@calm down - spot on. There was a bit of banter in a Sydney paper, "Make a $onny Bill WIlliams voodoo doll" or something, but that was about it. To be honest, the majority of Australia does not even care that the rugby world cup is on - and you'd be hard pressed to get many people in 4 out of our 6 states to name even 1 Wallaby player! Most people (outside NSW and Qld) are way more concerned with the upcoming AFL draft...

0 ( +1 / -1 )

has anyone noticed the similrities between this WC and 2007? SA and Eng in same pool. SA thrashed Eng first game, Eng looks like last week`s dogbarf, but comes alive winning 1/4 and 1/2, only to lose a snoozer final. Bur, I doubt it will be tight final with no tries like 4 years ago.

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

As a kiwi I've gotta add to the debate.

This Aussie team has a few goofs in it, but I spent a lot of time reading the media leading up till the game, and I didn't see much trash talk. Australia have been very very gracious in defeat. I even heard a few commentators saying they will support Wales next week because they deserve the win more. There is no way you'd ever hear a Kiwi saying that. It's sports, nothing wrong with rivalry, Aussie and NZ hate each other when it comes to sport, but at the same time there is a big contingent of workers in NZ right now helping us with the oil cleanup, and Aussie were first there in March when Christchurch needed help, same as NZ will always be there to help Aussie.

But meanwhile, whooooohoooo, ALL BLACKS!!!!!!! Cooper choked !! Wooohoooo!

What scares me is Cooper's comments today. He really lookis like he is hurting. I hope he doesn't learn from this and become too good!

ALL BLACKS!!

0 ( +1 / -1 )

There was pre game trash talk in the printed media and also on the radio in aus and nz there always is between nz and aus, but the aussies have been great in defeat, truely incredible actually listening to the nz radio and what has been in the news and on here.

I doubt the nzers would have been so gracious had the boot been on the other foot, shows the aussies have a maturity that the nzers have not found yet, but also i guess rugby doesnt mean as much to aussie as it does to NZ coz we dont have a great league team, a great cricket team, soccer or NRL to turn to when our beloved rugby turns to custard, all us kiwi's have IS Rugby.

The country has rugby flowing through every citizens veins, cut us we bleed rugby, it's very much part of who we are, silly really but there is only 4 million people so we cant spread ourselves too thinly.

GO THE MIGHTY ALL BLACKS !!!

0 ( +1 / -1 )

There is a kind of French bashing in the NZ media...are the "mighty AB" afraid of something ? Tell me Export, what are u scared of ?

The French team, backed into the corner, something you remember...are you only alarmed or are you already panicking ?

ALLEZ LES BLEUS !

-2 ( +1 / -3 )

Sometimes the french play extremely well and upset other teams, very rarely though. They are so very very unpredictable. The upset usally comes about the time the world cup comes around and they are playing the ABS they get a good game in.

We have had experience with the french team before in world cups, not scared just wary of an upset by an inferior team.

Many people are picking a 40 point win to the Ab's , but the all blacks and the coaches are not taking anything for granted and you can expect them to up the tempo and performance on sunday, they are aware of the threat from the french, like a mad man the french can go off at anytime, but no one including themselves no when that will happen.

Having already given them a hiding though this world cup and seeing as we are so close to holding the cup we are very very confident of winning, not scared at all. Just cautious !

GO ALL BLACKS

0 ( +1 / -1 )

Oh and the NZ media along with the world media have written the french team off, wonder why?

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

not scared just wary of an upset by an inferior team.

i am not native so i dont really understand ur peculiar/arrogant english, but i would like you to explain how could the mighty ab be upset by an "inferior team" ?

btw, the ab will be black : gratitude to the FRENCH team.

-3 ( +0 / -3 )

Did you watch the semi in 2007? if so you would see how the french upset the ABs, or maybe second thought maybe it wasnt the inferior french team that upset the ABS but a blind pomie ref.

The french are well known for upsets in world cups, sometimes its the football world cup and they are at the wrong end of an upset.

Excuse my arrogant language, but seeing as how the french Govt are guilty of commiting a terroist act on our soil that resulted in the death of innocent life (rainbow warrior) we NZers dont hold the french in high regard.

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

maybe it wasnt the inferior french team that upset the ABS but a blind pomie ref.

poor ex, too late hours not a good thing for u ?

anyway, u r right...ab lost in 2007 because of "a blind pomie ref"

hope for u Joubert will not be ur next excuse !!!

-2 ( +1 / -3 )

@EE the journalists quoted,Colman and Fitzgibbons are comedic journalists..they try to be funny not informative..if you have sources of serious commentators flapping off please share them. @pacific congratulations on making the final, cant do more than win I guess, but the french bashing isn't confined to the NZ press..Aussie media have labelled your side the worst team to ever play a world cup final !!! Coach Lievremont (excuse spelling) just got his pre game dressing room posters !! Is it true ??Worst ever, wow.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

btw, rainbow warrior...what r u speaking about ? 26 years ago ?

thats...RUGBY ???

-2 ( +1 / -3 )

calm down, thats a nice name...to calm down.

i dont know what is the meaning of the "worst team" to ever play...

i never read either the "best team" to ever play...

so i dont ask.

i only know that we are here in final and i am proud of the french team because nobody thought we will still be here, because England thought they will crushed us, because Wales still thinks we have won (they only lost by themself, loosing for not kicking penalties in times)... and now we are in final.

french media are writing about french bashing in nz media...to pop up the french team.

thats usually works. i dont want to repeat years, so many times !

ab, have fun !

ALLEZ LES BLEUS !!!

-2 ( +1 / -3 )

All QC needs to do is fess up and admit that he put a cheap shot on Richie, apologise for it, and then promise to put on a good exciting display for the kiwi fans in the crowd at the 3rd/4th game.

Kiwis will forgive him if he would but show a little humility rather than endless arrogance. The biggest problem he has is that he has his supporters, and he cowers behind them rather than stand up and be a man. He's still only 23 though and obviously not the brightest lightbulb in the appliance store.

As for the game - a telling same came straight after the Haka. The ABs turned and went straight for their marks, whereas the Aussies were still standing there in a line, trying to do their post-Haka "stare-them-done" crap. The All Blacks were there to get straight down to the business of playing a world cup semi-final, whereas the Aussies were trying to play mind games. That was a big difference.

They had also been softened up the previous week by the Boks, although the All Blacks have had their fair share of injuries...

Beware the French going feral in the final... they've beaten the English, have no one expecting them to win, they'll go out and play the game of their lives now.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Isnt the WC finished yet? Except for paying the bill, of course! Just like the Vancouver Olympics, its fun until someone has to cover the losses.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

ab routs FRANCE like that pseudo "expert" said !

LOL

lucky ab, best of the world, but in anyway not world champion !
