Another tight, tense match between these two teams. Telea's had a quiet season, but had a great match today.

Nail biting finish! In 2024, it's New Zealand 3 England 0.
New Zealand did themselves no favours with their ill-discipline, giving away silly penalties in bad positions, but did well to chase that 8 point deficit and had enough in the tank to close it out. England had their moments but, apart from an intercept against the run of play and one held-up, they didn't much look like scoring.
Smith had a good game for England and I think it was the wrong call to replace him for Ford. Sititi continues to impress and Tuipolotu had a stormer from the bench - apart from that knock on five metres from NZ's line and near the posts!

Why bring Marcus off when he was playing a utter blinder of a game? Our best player yesterday. He was fine while some of the forwards were running out of steam; more of the pack should have benefitted from fresh legs. The bomb squad approach.
I'm not sure what's going on in Borthwick's head. We should have won that game. Bad management from Borthers.

Wasn't overly tired, nor injured. A couple of dodgy cross field kicks but England's most dangerous player. On came Ford who missed an important tackle, missed a very kickable penalty and finally imitated me kicking a drop goal. Probably his last game?

The English commentators said at the beginning of the game, IIRC, that if England were ahead with 20 minutes to go, they should being on Ford as he's a clutch player.
