Hmmmm... Sounds like she sure didn't do much to prevent her blade hitting Lim's leg.

Upon watching the video, I conclude that even if Bell didn't intentionally clip Lim with her skate, and it seems possible, she would surely have noticed it and should have apologized instead of just gliding ahead as if nothing had happened.

Playing hockey with 2 moving humans, it's actually quite hard to intentionally slash with your skate blade the leg of an opponent at just the right amount of flesh wound

If you try it intentionally, you would have about as much chance as missing the leg completely as going too deep into the leg and lead to bleeding to death

It's not as easy as people think - that's why nobody really tries it since the chance of success (just the right amount of flesh wound) is not that good. It's not worth the effort

As for the skater not noticing, maybe she was so much in her zone that her mind just blocks out everything else that would disturb her practice routine. Some sports players are like that - once they get into their zone, they become so laser-focused that they develop a sorta tunnel vision about anything else going around them

Seems both skaters had a talk in the end, so hopefully they sorted themselves out now
